Hi

I am new to this site but it seems very good for advice etc.  We are getting A bulldog puppy this Thursday in England and bringing him home to his new home in Northern Ireland.  The plan is to feed him Royal Canine Bulldog food when he is old enough but they only seem to do adults.  Can anyone advise of the best food to put him on until then?  He will be 10wks old when I get him and the breeder currently has him on Butchers Choice Puppy food with Pedigree Small Bite Mixer.  Would this be ok or would I be better moving him slowly onto a new diet?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need to find someting that is very high in protien & oil. Our breeder uses Davies' complete & we use Arden Grange. The problem we are having is our dogs dont like & wont tolerate chicken dog food & Arden only do a chicken & rice puppy. RC Bulldog 24 ones not very high in protien & oil compared to a few others.

Yes this is our 1st Bully.  We have researched everything well and are really prepared for him.  Just not certain of food.  Discovered Royal Canine Puppy food specific for Bulldogs today in the pet shop.  I take it this would be good?

not sure,  i would go for a food without additives and crap in bulldogs are sensitive, arden grange food looks good but i am no expert.

the only problem i have with jwb is it hard to bulk up your bulldog on so it depends are you planning on showing as i prefer my dogs to be fit and leaner the what is required for the show ring.

so i always have a bit of conflict with this,i have friends that feed burgess super dog active not sure if they do this for puppies

good luck with your bullie, they rock

I had a rescue Bully that used to break out in wet exzema until I put her on Cobbydog Chicken and Rice.

no one seems to have mentioned it yet but feed the pup on what the breeders been feeding for the first wee while. a sudden food change can give them sore tums and its the last thing they need after moving away from mum. slowly introduce any change. have you considered a raw diet?

a tip a few others have provided before is that you take empty bottles to the breeders and get water for the wee one so thats not a sudden change to.
