I had a Billy Ray Cyrus (who can forget Achy Breaky Heart) poster on the back of my bedroom door. I was far too young to like him but i thought he was the bees knees :-)
My walls were smothered with horsy posters, but somehow Gilbert O'Sullivan managed to find a spare spot in there! Oh, how my young heart would beat for him :) :) :) Then he had a song out I didn't like, fickle youth, down he came to be replaced by a horse!

Freds Mum, have you seen Hannah Montannah (sp) on kids sky channel? Billy Ray Cyrus daughter and he stars in the show too!!!
My posters on my wall consisted of, dog posters from the mags I used to get, and of course BROS and NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK!!! there was more doggie posters I must stress!!! :) :)
Donny Osmond was all over my bedroom (I wish lol) as well as Paul Newman, Steve McQueen and James Dean. I was and am a girl of strange taste :)

Duran Duran - John Taylor, Simon Le Bon, Any Taylor, Roger Taylor and Nick Rhodes - everywhere, walls, ceilings, doors. Those were the days! :)
As I got older, living in a shared cottage when working, we had all the 'silly' posters, you know the railways one where the track misses by a few inches......the American type one with the general 'have you taken your pill today' (em no, don't take them but thought the poster made me look grown up :( ) the 'two peoples feet', salvador dali athena prints....Swans reflecting elephants and the thinker....oh lots more I'm sure :) :) :) Still love pictures, I tend to have plain walls so I can show them off! :)

Up until puberty it was wall-to-wall horsey posters for me then it all changed... starting with Paul Newman and Robert Redford in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
Moving swiftly on through Bowie (Aladin sane) to Deep Purple's Ian Gillan. I was always fickle when it came to my pin-ups.

With me it was Shakin Stevens quickly replaced by Boy George and Culture Club, walls were plastered. Then started adding others Dead or Alive, King, Marilyn, Soft Cell, Thompson Twins, Billy Idol, The Damned, and there was another one who I loved but cannot for the life in me remember who, lol.
Then as I got older it was James Dean, in fact I have a large cardboard cutout of James Dean my mum fetched me home from America.

Donny Osmond and David Soul :)
Donny was standing with one arm above his head, wearing a stripey vest. One day I thought his armpit looked hairier than usual.....til I realised he had a spider sitting there!!! :(

i was obsessed with kylie minougue, all my friends loved Bros but not me, i used to dress like her if she liked something i liked it my bedroom was covered including the ceiling with her posters i was in her fanclub and was convinced that she wrote personaly back to me and i used to send her all my used makeup (yuk) thinking she would wear it, we didn't have that much money when i was young as my dad was in the miners strike but they even took me to see her in concert.
Anyway i'm well over my Kylie obsession now but i still remember her birthday 28th May :-D

my 1st one was shakin stevens
later i progressed to lots of boybands and horses, dogs etc!!!
Bay City Rollers were my 1st along with the lamp shade .....i loved Les.....
Paul Young........ 80's god........ still hunky now !!
My best friends brother was his manager so we used to get lots of freebies......
Also, had a bit of a soft spot for Simon Le Bon...
Gabrielle

My first posters were Smirnoff adverts cut out from magazines ......I wanted to be a designer and they just seemed sooo cool :) Oh and a 1970 world cup poster as well

well into my 20's when Billy Ray came on the scene and that was in the country bars of California so early on (much to our dismay).
I'm off to get my zimmer frame out :( :)

Donny Donny Donny!!!
Then as I got a bit older, James Dean and Sid Vicious, those were the days...

David Cassidy, then David Essex. :)

yes i had new kids gemini05, Donnie was my favourite lol. Also Madonna and Johnny depp, Johnny still lovely now, Jason and Kylie were there too.

Marc Bolan :)

Apart from my horsey posters, my first ones were Pet Shop Boys and Dollar. Later Shakin Stevens and for some reason LL Cool J even though I had never even heard his music, must have just thought he looked cool. I think I started to put up anything which might provoke a reaction from my parents!

Dexter! Donnie Walhberg was my fav too!!! ha ha :) :)

Ben Murphy (he of Alias Smith and Jones) was my first idol. Bay City Rollers then Starsky and Hutch. I was never really into pop stars as such. Later I went on to Spurs footballers - I was in love with Glenn Hoddle for years!!!

Im not too old so mine were boyzone I think, then spice girls!
Oh the shame!!
oh wow, my first poster was of Michael Jackson, very young, not at all like he is now, I seem to recall he was wearing a yellow jumper and faded jeans....
after that my musical tasted changed, one entire wall of my bedroom was taken up with KISS posters, including a nearly full size one of Gene Simmons with his famous tongue lolling...
(and no, it didn't give me nightmares ;) )
the only poster I possess now is a Led Zep, Stairway to Heaven, and I can't decide where to put it....
