Yesterday evening around 8.30 pm my friend and i drove down to pick our sons up, we parked up and sat chatting as you do, a young couple parked up behind me and let their little whippet cross out of the car 'thats what it looked like'  they wondered off down onto the beach the poor dog ran over the bridge they continued walking and the little dog couldnt figure out the way down onto the beach, hte dogs owners were right down the beach and the dog still couldnt figure out how they got down there, its very high up with railings you know what i mean? The dog then thought i know i will jump through the railings well my heart nearly stopped, so i jumped out of the car to call it over and show it the slope as to which they had gone down, i walked over very calmly and called over the dog, well it barked at me and tried chasing me away!!! my friend meanwhile sat in tears from laughing in th car tried to help me out, so i tried again and stood still and and tried to make it follow me but thi time it ran barking up to an elderly couple, the owners were still oblioius to the commotions i couldnt believe it, the dog was terrified it really was and so tried to run across the main road luckily my son and his friend where on th other side and ushered back, as it didnt really want to be too far from its mum, i tried shouting to the owner who by nw was miles on the beach to no avail and i just said well what can i do? next minute the poor dog just jumped over the railing it must be at least  20 foot drop i stood and thought oh my god its jumped!!!! my heart in my mouth so i peered over and it was lying dazd on the sand, then it got up and luckily ran off to catch his owners up!! we just couldnt believe some people, how stupid how awful so i wrote a note and stuck it on their car saying how appauled i was and ho lucky their dog was to not have seriously injured itself or even die, so we all get in the car i wind my windows up (electric) but my friends finger is in and she just says really calmly 'my finger is in the window' i had wound it right to the top!!!!!! blood everywhere thankfully it didnt break it or anything but it was really bleeding she was fine but boy ws i glad to get home !!!! I had my friday the 13th a day late!!

is that the post that you left a dog to die alone by the roadside?

OMG!  some owners need shooting! I'm always watching where my dogs are, not that they ever go far away from me.

How could owners be like that?  I would have left a nasty note too!

I know, when I go somewheres I always check to see "Ok what could my dog do/get into/etc".

When I was looking at places to move to, I saw this one house, and I must admit, it had some really nice perks.  Main drive, garage, larger yard, so many nice things.  But then I saw the staircase, which follows from the main floor, all the way up to the third, in a spiral.  The railing on the staircase, was bars instead of a solid banister.  I looked from the top floor, and I could see the basement.  All I could think, is my min pins could easily get through these bars, just by running around, and go off right to the basement.

I told the lady, that I wouldnt take the place cos I didnt like the idea of my dogs possibly getting hurt.  She said in response "Well, they wouldnt die".  OH MY!!!  How I wanted to smack her!  Yes they could, especially falling three stories!!!!

So I got a place now, with completely solid staircases, and no way my dogs are gonna get hurt!

Thank goodness, it seems that poor dog didnt get to hurt from falling 20 feet.  The owners need a good smack!

yes, I have read the post.  This is a different post.  I think enough has been said on the other post without another comment on here, that's all I'm saying :-)
