Hi, has anyone had experience of feeding their dogs and indeed rearing puppies on canned food and mixer, something like Butchers?
Mine always get fed up with any kibble and have to mix in some meat to get them to eat it, so was thinking of just feeding tinned. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

For a treat!! Mine now has chappie mixed with his breakfast JWB kibble and loves it.

ETA: Puppy still on puppy only food also wet and dry mixed.

I was going to change my boy over to a tinned food (chappie) as he never seems very keen on dry complete.  I have changed my mind now as according to the advice on the tins he would need 2 x 825g tins a day.   This is a lot of food!  I have now been mixing in a good dollop of the chappie with a slosh of hot water and this seems to be okay with him.

I feed my puppies on a variety of foods and use Butchers puppy cans - this has always gone down very well and will be using it when I start to wean my next litter.  I agree they do get fed up with the dried food - well, mine always have.

What breed do you have? and do you mean the Butchers puppy, slightly smaller tins.

Think I am right in saying that 70% of the content of a tin of dog food is water, none the worse for that but it is why you have to feed more than you think you would need. The only tinned that may be less is Hills ID and you need a road drill to get into that.
