Topic Dog Boards / Health / Trembly back legs?
- By Susie72 [gb] Date 30.05.08 08:58 UTC
I've started to notice that Nellie (10 month old Patterdale terrier) gets terribly shaky back legs after exercise.  She rarely trembles at home (unless being bathed, examined by a vet or being groomed :)), and at the beginning of a walk she is fine.  But whenever she stops and stands still for any reason during our walk, her back legs shake.

She is otherwise fit, healthy and full of beans, she covers the ground like a whippet and leaps like a stag.  So assuming she has no physical problem, perhaps it is some kind of adrenalin effect?

Anyone else experienced this?

Hi Susie, - shaky back legs, or even front legs are a sign that it needs investigating. I have experience in this unfortunately.

It may be something or nothing - but best to have it checked out by a Vet just to make sure :-)
