Topic Dog Boards / Feeding / wet v dry amounts

I  have always feed my Labs 300g of dry complete, whether it be a premium food or a cheap and cheerful unbranded type.  I want to try my boy on tinned Chappie with a small amount of the dry Chappie as a mixer, but according to their feeding guides I should feed 2 x 825g tins a day.  That works out at an awlful lot of food!  I know manufacturers over-estimate but I think my boy would actually be quite bloated on that sort of amount of food.    I know Labs are greedy but they are also very good doers and I don't want him to put on any weight.  He weighs 30kg and looks pretty good at that weight although he could possibly loose just a little!

Can anyone help with what sort of amount to realistically feed, just as a starting point.

Thanks
