I e mailed canine information today for the entry for my breed, got a reply within 30 mins, so quite impressed, hope that helps.

I think it has more to do with the credit crunch.  People are generally being a bit more careful with their money with the rising costs of everything including petrol!!

Fewer shows and entering fewer dogs.

I am definitely considering more carefully where I enter this year, with £23 per dog plus petrol etc etc. Quite prepared to pay out if feel going to get fair crack of the whip, so far this year the all rounders are getting entries nearly 50% higher than the breed specialists in my breed, which sums up peoples feeling on the way judging is at present in our breed.

I know I am being much more selective this year. Luckily Arnie has his stud book number so don't have to worry about qualifying. With new puppy arriving in 5 weeks time I will have her to pay for as well.All adds up. The next 2 shows see the GSP entry a good 30 - 40 dogs down on usual. Will be interesting to see how many make it to the club champ show in a few weeks time.

has entry closed for 3 counties as my breed has hardly any compared to the normal turn out?

Yes it closed ages ago.

I'm judging at Three Counties and am very happy with my entries in all three breeds considering how low some of the others are.

Gosh I should of entered and especially with my Pomeranian's, there's only 10 more of them than there is SPanish!!

just my luck i was going to do 3 counties but changed my mind and entered southern counties instead and there are 127 entered!!!
