Hi all
I feed arden grange prestige at the moment but ran out the other day and had to get something quick from a pet shop so opted for eukanuba. I picked up small bite as have 3 smaller dogs and 2 medium size.
my little girl that eats nothing virtually (recent post 'wits end with non eatin dog') but has taken to this small bite bscuit mixed with cheap old chappie, paws crossed she has been eating her dinner morning and night quite well. I have measured the quantity so i know she gets the right amount and to be honest its less than i would have thought of giving her.
Now what i need to know is Eukanuba as good as AG? if not i was going to try orijen but are the biscuits nice and small? AG prestige biscuits are small but not as small as the eukanuba and i dont think they do a 'small' dog range.
She obviously likes tiny biscuits so want to keep to that but feed her the best quality at the same time.

Orijen puppy is small bite, don't know about adult. Orijen is a fantastic food, high in protein, no grain - but i've swapped to AG lamb and rice as zooplus kept having difficulty with the big bag supply! Puppy boy seems to like AG better so I add a very small handful ofOrijen once a day to his naturediet (supply of small bag seems unaffected, and then a bag lasts me forever so I don't mind the price!! )
I had a trial bag of euk which pup would'nt eat as a meal but would have as treats !!!
anyone else feed orijen that can tell me the biscuit size????

The samples I've got are:
Puppy version about 10mm in diameter x about 5mm deep
Adult version 14-15mm in diameter x about 5mm deep
Hope that helps.

The puppy orijen aren't very small IMO. They're round and quite hard.

Puppy Orijen isn't as small as Burns small bite or Euk, but is smaller than AG, and Proplan as well if I remember correctly! :)
Yes Ktee they are very hard aren't they? :)

Why not feed the AG puppy Junior which is roughly same nutritional breakdown (29% protein rather than 30%)as the prestige, and the kibble is pretty small. that is the reason I tend to feed the AG prestige to pups as I find the puppy/Junior kibble a bit small.
Yes she had the AG junior - got about 5 bags from crufts for £3!!!! it was the last day and about 4.30 in the afternoon, absolute bargain. I didn't think it was as high in meat and protein as prestige - will look into it more.
At the moment (all paws crossed) the Eukanuba small bite is working and for last week she has eaten it morning and night, sometimes needs the odd temptation to get her near the bowl but once she's in it she is eating :-)

AG Typical Analysis: Puppy Junior (not the large bred which is lower), Protein 29%, Oil 18%, Prestige Protein 30%, Oil 21%
pretty much similar then, and i suppose this will be ok for 10yr old westie who also likes the smaller biscuits compared to the prestige size.
Thank you for that info.
I fed our girl AG puppy/weaning when she had her pups and have kept her on it since. Arden Grange state on their website that it is suitable for small adult dogs. Incidentally, they are bringing out the lamb and rice mix in a smaller kibble size very soon, with the nutritional breakdown unchanged.
well i will get the junior AG then and keep the two fuss pots on that.
Hoping AG might be at bath tomorrow so i can pick some up.
Thanks for the help everyone

Pretty sure they will be at Bath as they usually are and the team on their stand are very nice.
