Any one used it to reduce weight? Your thoughts or comments please.

It is FANTASTIC !!!!!  Within 2 weeks my boy had his waist back, he didnt lose any condition and is now on normal burns and looking really good.  I couldnt rate it more.  Burns are so helpful too, the customer service is great.

How is Fagan getting on with the High Energy Lamb?

What is it please?
Ive a bulldog that I can not get weight off,she is on light food,no treats nothing and is still over weight.

If you check out Burns Dog Food site you will find it, called High Oats, made of Oats, chicken and rice.

The solution is to feed less than you're feeding now :-)

I tried feeding less and it didnt work, I had a starving dog.  With Burns high oats I could feed him a decent amount which meant he felt full up so didnt scavenge for more food. 

Zarah, Fagan is doing ok on the active lamb, he was eating it all but he has recently been leaving a fair bit of biscuit (I mix tripe in with it) I might cut down on the tripe.  He is looking good though and has had no tummy troubles.  he has one more 7.5kg sack to go through then im going to move him and Alf both onto the same food, probably the venison or fish burns.

At the moment Alf is eating his way through the 15kg sack of Royal canin that he won at the weekend :)

If i fed her any less she wouldnt get anything.I really honestly mean that.
Even a dog on a diet needs to feel fed and not have a rumbling tum.

Give burns high oats a go, its high in fibre and the oats mean slow release energy so the dog feels full for longer.

I wonder if Burns would give me a job !

I believe you, I too have tried that and if it is working it is very very slow and in the mean time I have a hungry hound who finishes his food long before anyone else.

Had all mine on Burns at one time and they all lost weight I did not want lost so I changed them onto something else, seems this one would be better on Burns but I need to knock the weight off first, trouble is once in winter coat you are not aware just how fat they are getting.

Fagan was on burns as a pup and was skin and bone, thats what gave me the idea to put Alf on burns to lose some weight !!

Hmmm. I have Cairns. I have to feed them "nothing" - otherwise their bellies would scratch on the ground.  :-)

Bought a bag today and it certainly passes the taste test, so we will see if it works on my tub.

Day one report. Just fed the hounds, he usually picks up his food and throws it down his gullet I swear it never touches the sides, with High Oats he chewed it :-o  He took an age to eat it and in the end left some. Now I wonder if he is ill :-)

Alfie used to leave biscuits in the bottom of the bowl when on the high oats - it did worry me that he might be ill !!!
