Heya.

Was just looking for a little advice Re the two dogs in quarentine.

They are currently being fed Arden grange so all in all a good food so no problems there however then dogs are being a little fussy, especially the female and although both are loosing weight she is loosing a little more then we would like.  Now I think part of this could be due to lack of muscle tone now as they can't be exercised however they are starting to look a little "drag" shall we say and was wondering if you guys think that supplementing with some multi vits and minerals could help?  Or are they just a waste of time?  I know they should be getting everything from the food but in this case I worry that they, especiialy teh female, is not eating enough and maybe a multi vit might just help a little?

If so can anyone recommmed a good multi vitamin tablet thats not too costly?

Hi Ice Queen

I use Higher Nature multivit called Ultimate Nutrition.  My dogs are all fed raw but I feel that this tablet is a safeguard, if you know what I mean!

They are available on the net and the cost is about £12 for 90 tablets. Depends on the size of your dog as to how many you give.  16-30kg dog 2 tablets per day.

Hope this helps!

Sorry I meant to say that these tablets are palatable and I only have one of my dogs who refuses to eat them.  Strangely enough, my 2 bitches who can be quite fussy will eat them like sweets.  The only one of my 5 who won't eat them is my old boy who refuses to eat anything "table shaped"!

Vit-2000 from Animal Health was recommended to me. It's a powder you sprinkle on their food. I don't know what you would consider costly but you can get a massive tub of it for £22.00. That will last me for months.
