My parents have an 8 year old Lhasa Apso dog, he's KC registered we assume as they paid around £300 for him. He a pet really, they don't show him, but we wondered if he's too old to be a stud dog,?

If not, what is the procedure, is it best to advertise in local press or contact specialist breeder? You'll have to forgive my ignorance, but we've never done this before.

If anyone can give me some advice, i'd be very grateful.

hello !, i don't understand 'I assume he is kc registered as they paid £300' you should have registration documents, or they kennel club should be able to tell you. If he is a pet why use him at stud ?? why now ?? I personally think he is too old, but we will see what the others think !

Ps this question is asked all the time and if you search under stud, I expect you will find your answer !! as people can get bored with repeating themselves !!!

Well if Chloedog did so did I, what sort of response do you expect when someone with and 8 year old dog with no papers suddenly decides they want to use it at stud. Jackie H
