I need some help with finding the right conditioner for my little man. He is a Cavalier and has the fastest matting coat in the whole world :-) It seems to be in good condion but, is very difficult to get laying smooth and as are planning to get to some shows soon I could really do with some help to sort him out. So if anyone has any tips on conditioners or drying coats it would be greatly appreciated.

Pantene  pro vi smooth and shine works wonders on my Gordon setter's coat.  If he's quite knotty, rub some neat into the knot and it will help detangle it.  Also good is Cowboy Magic  They do a gel that you rub in to the knots as well and it's quite good.

Ann Hall sells Dry Coats to most of the Cav people. She can be contacted at: DryDog Coats, Fairholme, Hagnaby Lane, Keal Cotes, Near Spilsby, Lincolnshire, PE23 4AL - 01790 763574 . It's better to ring her than go through her website to start with as she will be able to advise on sizing.

I too use Pantene conditioner although many people seem to think that human products are unsuitable for dogs - I disagree.
Good luck with showing your Cavalier.

I use the Animal House products. If you google you should find them. Highly recommended for Humans too!!!
