
Ironic that a country widely known for its blatantly barbaric treatment of dogs should sink fortunes into a project of this type!
On a broader view, it seems likely to me that significantly more training would have been used on these cloned animals than that used on others to "keep face" having spent so much money and scientific know how into their creation.
I don't believe in cloning ~ no if's, but's or maybe's about it. Sadly many pet owners who can financially afford to take this step (although IMO particularly vulnerable emotional individuals are the most likely "clients") are not going to get a "true" reproduction of their much missed family friend as surely, what makes them so special, is much more about that less tangible and inexplicable inner spirit or being ......
