I always use part of my dogs daily food ration as his treats. This works great because he loves ANY food and doesn't effect his waist-line :) i think I could teach him the river-dance with plain kibble if he was more co-ordinated ;)
There is a web site called zooplus that does low fat ostritch, bulls pizzles ect really resonable, they ship in about 3/4 days and as we have two dogs we use them a lot. One of my friends has two dogs so we buy quite a lot and share the cost. Also get pigs ears, but I do not think they are low fat. Deers ears are though.
Low fat treats? I find my dog loves raw carrot and broccoli stalks cut into small pieces - not only low fat but natural and so much cheaper than ostrich or other strange treats! Careful with fish skins and pigs ears etc as I'm thinking they are quite high in fat
I made some last night, and my girl, and the pup we have staying with us have gone MAD for it. I think we'll be keeping that as our 'speciao recall treat'. :-)
Ah tuna cake is great. Liver cake gives mine the squits if they have too much so this was my solution. :) I cut it into large cubes and store it in the freezer.
