Hello
My boy whippet has been a bit off colour for over two weeks now. It all started when i saw him do a very loose dark mahogany coloured poo, and has done so about 3 times since. Which suggests there could be a problem internally. However he has passed normal poo in between these times. So it dosen't seem like he has an irritable bowels or an infection because surely the poo would be mahogany coloured all of the time?. I think he may have something stuck inside(no idea what). He has lost weight and is not quite so energetic. He also will not jump up as if he is in pain if he does so. He chooses to sleep on the floor rather than the sofa( anyone with whippets knows this is not normal behaviour), He will not jump into the car he has to be lifted in(again not normal), and out on walks will have a bit of a run but not much, like he used to. He is only 21/2 yrs old but, now is behaving like a much older dog. Anyone any ideas?
p.s. He will be going to the vet again on wednesday to have x-rays to investigate further.

Thank-you

Hopefully your visit to the vet will sort your dog's problem out. Any change in behaviour is always worth checking with your vet and your lad sounds as though he is not a happy dog at the moment.

Really hope you can get to the bottom of his problem soon :)
