I have two bitches one of which is spayed. The other bitch keeps trying to straddle her . It is causing nasty reactions with the spayed bitch she is attacking her when she does it. the intact bitch isnt due into heat for 3 months yet im confused why is she frisky and trying to mate ??

Mounting behaviour in this instance is more likely to be about dominance issues between the two, hence the negative reaction of the other bitch.

Also has the spayed bitch any infection that might make her smell interesting, as that would e another reason for being mounted.

My friends boxer Rodney comes to visit mine with my dog snoop who's 9 and Rodney sticks his paw over his back like trying to lie on him snoop doesn't mind most of the time but when he gets a bit too much of a pain he will growl & snarl raise his lips telling him CRIKEY GIVE ME A BREAK! Rodney will bow down to him then Snoop will try and hump him, Rodney doesn't mind . they are both castrated males but if snoop gets frisky with my other dog Tinkerbell a bitch she gives him hell and does not let him . It natural just let them sort it out between themselves. Even if you spayed her too it would still go on . My Tinkerbell's mother Tia would do it to her when we went to visit or she stayed with me and Tinkerbell wouldn't get funny like she dose with snoop and would let her do it as her mother out ranked her in the pecking order... as it should in life he he :)
