I am not sure if I read it here or on another website but I do remember being pointed in the direction of a website that did really cheap coach travel.

As far as I know it was a £1 per person one way.

Though the £1 seats are usually all sold when you try to book them, and the timings aren't always that convenient.

Yes thanks for the link it was the right one. Unfortunatley travelling from Leeds does not allow for the destination Manchester. Oh well train it is then.

How about National Express? They are sometimes cheaper than train in my experience!

Checked both train and National express and going on 29/05 returning on 30/05 the train will cost £19.95 whereas National Express will cost £29.95 so train it is.
