Hello everyone.Could anyone put my mind at rest.I have a 6mnth old Black Male and I'm just slightly concerend over his height.The reason being on our walk last week I met someone with a harleqiune( sorry sp? )and I asked how old it was.She said 8 and I said it looked incredibly well for 8yrs.But no it was 8 mnths.Well it was massive.As big as any adult I've seen.My boy looked like a toy next to him.So now I'm abit worried he's not growing as he should.Iv'e just measured him and he's about 26" at shoulder.
Now don't get me wrong I'm not expecting him to be oversized as I don't think it's good for the dogs health but when people see him they ask what he is as htey think he looks like a Dane but he's noway big enough.I try and explain he's only a pup and usually they agree but can you tell me at what age do they stop growing.Do they do 90% in first year then fill out or am I just being daft.I obviously adore him no matter what size he is but would like to know for peace of mind.Any advice gratefully received.
