Hello everyone,
I am getting a golden cocker spaniel pup in the middle of September and as this is our first dog we do not own any doggy bits.
I am so looking forward to his arrival and instead of making a mad panic in September would like to start buying some bits at the end of the month/beginning of August.
I'm not really a fan of 'Pets @ Home' and so would like to avoid going there.
Does anyone know of a website or anywhere in the Horsham area that is an ideal place to buy everything? (and I mean everything!!)
Thanks very much
A very excited Nicky xx

Hi Nicky,
Is there still at Pet Department at Hilliers Garden Centre on the Brighton Road? They were very good when we lived in Horsham.

Fiona,
I believe that they do still have the pet department so I will have a look down there.
As you lived in Horsham, can you recommend any vets and groomers?
I am hoping to come along on Saturday so please give me your mobile so we can meet up. I will be bringing my freinds little beagle who we are looking after, she's very sweet with her little podgy belly and funny hip!
Regards

Hi Nicky,
My mobile number is winging it's way to you right now!!
I don't know of any dog groomers but I can recommend a very good vets for you. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to mention the name on here so thats with my mobile number in the email. The vets may well be able to suggest some groomers for you.

Hi I don't know where you can shop but I can help in the way- if you look under general at the bottom of page 10 there's a checklist of things you need or might need- I posted the thread (seems like ages ago now) when I was getting Kassie- there were a lot of us expecting all at once and I think most of us benefited from the list:) Good Luck!

Hi Nicky,
I don't know that they supply everything, but I buy some stuff from PetPlanet on the web (hope this isn't advertising Leigh). Delivery is fast, and the prices aren't bad. The other way to get stuff is to visit a Championship Show. You'll be able to get just about anything you need at the stands, and the prices are usually much better than in pet shops.
