Topic Dog Boards / Breeding / Puppy to Australia

Our lab's litter is due in a few weeks and we have had quite a few enquiries from poss. buyers, who have been given our name from the breed association. Of course not all those who say they are interested will actually want one when the time comes, but we have had one enquiry from Australia. I know from reading other threads here that the process can be involved, and that the pup will have to be quarantined. We've talked it through several times and we really can't bear the thought of a little one jetting off on a plane...it was bad enough when the only pup from our first litter went, and we see him regularly!:)

It's quite a trial dealing with some potential buyers though :(. Several people want to know exactly how many, what gender in what colour, and seem surprised when I can only say girls and boys, blacks and yellows. I think probably if they don't understand that it's impossible to predict, then they can't have one of our pups!! ;)

Anyhow, Pheobe is fine..but very round! Time seems to be going very slowly, but I guess we should make the most of the lull before 'action stations'. I'll let you all know when something starts to happen :)

Regards
Clare
