I was wondering if it's ok to feed a dry complete for breakfast and give, say, prizechoice tripe or rabbit for tea.   Do you think this will make a diet unbalanced?  I would love to give totatally raw but don't have the freezer space for more than about 8 blocks of frozen.   I feed chicken wings once or twice a week just as treats and they have a marrow bone once or twice as well.

I fhave 2 dogs and feed raw and hardly use the freezer.  I make up a supply of veg and fruit about twice a week and keep that in the fridge, but most of the chicken wings, lamb and offal I feed fresh.  I am lucky that I have a fantastic butcher in the village so don't have to travel far for the food.

Unfortunately I don't really have any butchers nearby.  I nearest is quite expensive and sells the bones for 85p each which I think is a bit of a rip off but is probably cheaper than petshop type chews and rawhides.   I also feed a lot of tripe which mine absolutlely love and I wouldn't fancy keeping fresh tripe in the fridge.  They share a block of the prizechoice between them.

I feed my dogs dry complete with fresh cooked meat (I know it better raw but I have a very fussy eater who will only eat it warm!!) each night and have had no problems.

Sounds fine, nothing wrong with this way of feeding.

NO... Not every single meal does need to be "complete" and "balanced" and whatever else the pet food manufactures want to have us believe ;) Besides.... bones, dry food, mince and tripe sounds like a pretty balanced diet to me :-D

I feed one of mine with arden grange mixed with prizechoice tripe - its the only way to get her to eat plus i have to warm the tripe slightly for the aroma to get her interested. I am happy then that she gets complete diet from the dry food and a bit of raw tripe to make it yummy (well for her anyway)
complete biscuits on their own is a bit boring day in day out.

Ours also have Arden Grange (lamb & rice) with some Prize Choice tripe mixed in, they also have raw bones from butchers a couple of times a week.
