OK this isn't strictly dog specific but it could apply to dogs.  Is there any way you can tell if a female dog (or in this case... ferret!) has been spayed apart from a scar or having a scan?  Next door asked me to remove a ferret from their shed LOL and the RSPCA are coming round to scan her tomorrow. If she's not chipped and if no-one claims her I'd like to keep her :-) but don't want to go through the stress of surgery if I can avoid it.
