Well I may have been busy for the last 2 yrs but my puppy in Sweden has been busier in the show ring! Finally after 12 yrs in schipperkes and not docking I've got my first champion, my little girl Shellkirma Jasmine Quartz was made up to a Swedish champion back in July 07 just after her daddy became a New Zealand Champion - I am sooo pleased lol

Must admit that to me the tightly curled tail on the ship just finishes it off nicely for me, but it would wouldn't it.

Agreed they're a spitz breed and the tails show it big style, despite Dr Pollett saying that as a Belgian shephard breed they need to have low set tails that only curl up over the back on the move but should be hanging down at other times.
The FCI have adopted the above tailed standard for Schips along with a change in muzzle length, ear set and no stop in an attempt to turn them into mini Belgian's such a shame as a schip is a foxy faced breed with a nice tight tail - well all of mine have over the back tails.

Oh that is a shame.

Many congratulations!

Congratulations :-D :-D :-D
Wondered what they looked like with a tail so had a google. They look lovely, as Brainless said, the tail really does finish them off nicely :) unlike some traditionally docked breeds which now have tails that look like an afterthought :)
