i have just been round my friends house and took my 13 week old malamute puppy with me. He managed to break into her cupboard and eat her dogs food, he ate so much of it his stomach is absoloutely huge and he looks like he is in late pregnancy!! should i be concerned? I am not feeding him tonight and probably not first thing in the morning either! Is there any chance of him becoming unwell as its alot of not his food he is used to or will it just pass through?? any advice greatly appreciated!!

Hi,
Try not to panic, I have had that happen, now I use dog proof bins.
He will probably be fine, just keep an eye on him and get a gass mask ready for excess gas Lol.
Bet he regrets it now!
The sentence "puppies will eat and eat until they are sick", I think is true. :-)
He's oviously very clever, so hopefully has learnt a lesson? :-)

Always safest to call the vet. My Cavalier did something similar and he very nearly died, had to be kept in at the vets overnight.
