I am currently looking for dog training classes for my new pup. He is currently 9 weeks old so am looking for one that will let us start in a couple of weeks. I live in St Annes near Blackpool and am having difficulty finding a good class locally. Ideally i would like to clicker train new pup but as this is my first time trying to clicker train a pup i would like some guidance. Now for the difficult bit- i don't want to go to a class that uses rattle bottles and squirting dogs with water (it seems quite common to do this in some classes i have observed). I would like to use classes that use positive methods only. Does anyone have any reccomendations they can make? Thank you in advance.

Have a look at the association of pet dog trainers website. When people are thinking of coming along to my classes I always suggest that they come along B4 they book just to make sure we are what they are looking for. I encourage them to chat to people attending and ask them questions.  you will get a feel about the classes. are the dogs and owners relaxed is the instructor approachable, do the dogs look like they are having fun.  what are the class numbers, do they mix adult and pups. you will find that most folk are happy to have you along to view. good luck!.
