hi every one,  today i recieved an email from america, it was a threatning email, basically they want money, or i will lose my life, i no its a scam, and would never give in to these scum people, i found it a bit un nerving, cant image if any one old or vunrable would feel if they recieved a email like this, does anyone know where to report these people,? or is it even worth it? thanks for any advice  sue

Seeing as it is a threat on your life, I would ring the non e,mergancy number for the police (can be found on the net for your area), and report it ASAP.
They have departments to deal with things like that.

Keep us updated on this one and what happens cafe, it is a lot more worrying than the normal scams we get, agree with Lea, this one is definitely a police matter, please come back on site to update, there are many people who may be very afraid of an e-mail like this the more they are outed and spoken of the less effect they have. :-)

Thanks for alerting us Cafe, at least if any of the rest of us get one, we won't feel quite so bad when we know others have got them too.

Might also be worth speaking to your local community support officer of local beat manager. These con artists could be targeting your local area and it would help iof your local officer was up to speed with it and could knock on a few doors and reassure the more vulnerable or elderly residents who would be likely to send the money off.
