Topic Other Boards / Foo / Printing address labels with logo

Hello,

Can anyone help me with instructions for dummies on how to print some address labels from my computer and to add a logo on the left hand side too?    Good basic idiot proof instructions!  Thanks!

Have you got a label program? Express It is cheap but good. Printmaster Gold another cheapie but good also. I save the label once designed and then set up the print run through Word. When I first did it I wasted loads of labels getting the orientation of the labels right but if you use a make like Avery, Word has the dimentions pre-loaded.
These progams are simple to use and have lots of clipart too - importing your pictures is easy peasy.
I was very pleased with my attempts and in fact sent out that years christmas card with a sticker containing our change of address together with a piccy of our new house. Now if I can do it anyone can... my son will vouch for that  :-)
Someone else will probably be able to tell you how to do it just using Microsoft but I haven't figured that out.

What programs do you have on your pc? Do you have word? I use it for address labels/gift tags which have a pic on them too.

If using word then go to tools on the top bar, then letters and mailings, then click envelopes and labels. A small window opens up, choose the labels tab on that. Bottom right hand corner of that page tells you what size labels you are making, click on options to change the size to whatever you have. If you want a whole sheet the same you can type your address in the box - I tend to do them on the page as I often change them slightly. Now click on new document on that wee box, right hand side. Clicking New Document creates your labels. To add a picture go to insert, then picture, then 'from file'. Browse to the pic you want to add and double click on it. Resize it by dragging in the corners and drag it to where you want it to be. If you want the same pic on each label you can now right click this pic and choose copy, then click elsewhere and choose paste...note the pasted pic usually appears on top of the copied one, it just needs dragged to the right place.

Hope that helps :-)

See I've got so far with the wording but just not the logo with Microsoft - thanks.  Will give it a go once I've finished my leaflets using Serif PagePlus!   Aren't  busy?
