I am sad today, I have to take my dobie off to the Kennels we are away for 4 days.  I hate taking him and I feel so guilty.  My sons are at work all day and he would have to be left far too long - well from 9 until 5.  I do wonder if he would be okay, but he is 4 and has never been left for this amount of time.  Also my sons are not responsible enough to walk him, feed him etc.  They are more bothered in the weekend!!!!  Well I suppose we were all young once!

Mind you to top it all the Kennels are lovely to him, they are a Dobermann Rescue Centre, and they have their own dobes which they have bred, so I know he is fine, he has been before, but it is just that wrench of leaving him!!!

It sounds like you have found the perfect kennels for him! He'll be in doggy heaven and might want to stay there!!!!! ;-)

It's always a wrench to let them go in to kennels, but as you said, it's not fair to let him stay at home on his own for so long.
