as you might know my bitch will be 4 weeks since mating on friday ,she has been off her food these last few days although she,s still eating   not like she normally is Anyway tonight i noticed her licking herself more than usual so pressed cotton wool there and there was pale pink stain there Could it be she is absorbing  she seems to be drinking more than usual but not excessive Oh i do hope she,s not absorbing as this is her last time  as she,ll be to old next time

I don't want to frighten you, but it could possibly be the beginnings of pyometra.  Excessive drinking is a sign, and a pinkish discharge is a sign of an open pyometra (where the infected material can escape, rather than a "closed" pyo where it stays in the womb)  Does she seem at all unwell and is she running a temperature?  If she was mine, I'd pop her down to the vet for an examination.

I wouldnt panic too much but its best to take her to the vets, one for the scan for pyo or two to see if she is pregnant and you can see the pups, my bitch had a pinky substance after her 3 week and she was pregnant, but again im no expert but your best to seek your vets advice and a scan is all it takes. If she is feverish its a sign of infection, best get to the vets asap as pyo can be fatal. Hope all is well and tht she is pregnant, keep your chin up

It is always best to have things checked out by your vet if you are worried, but to me it seems from what you posted that she may just be getting a bit thirsty during her pregnancy and losing her appetite stage.
My girl had Pyrometra back in july, it was not a nice experience I can tell you, she developed a very strong smell and horrible coloured discharge from her vulva (browny green) a high temp and she could not control her urine, she was given an emergency spay to save her life, I am only telling you this as your post about your girl does not seem to match what my girl went through, I am sure everything is fine xxx

took her for my friend to have a look at as she s had litters and is use to this sort of thing and she said she doesnt think it,s anything to worry over not like pyometra she said shes too alert and eyes are bright .Col0ur is a very pale pink thing is she such a clean bitch she,s constantly cleaning herself which makes me check her all the time then i get in a state and start to worry but i,ll still take her to vets in am and let you know

well been to vets who scanned her said she couldnt see pups said she could see some small black blops which at 28 days she would expect to be bigger and one bigger one that had nothing in it.Discharge seems to more or less stopped now  her temp was fine there was some blood and protein in her urine  gave me some synulux and said keep an eye on her. Looking at her teats now they look white , before they were pink ,so looks like the worse omg am i fed up

Keep an eye on her, and check her gums stay nice and pink.

she,s very relaxed now stopped all the licking discharge stopped looks like she,s just said to me "On your bike"  you want puppies have some yourself!    Little Madam still glad she,s o.k. love her to bits

I went thru similar thing a bit back. Went for scan and (new) vet was concerned at what she saw and asked me to go back thr following week for 2nd scan.  I knew she was looking for a pyo but she hadnt said this.  went back in a week saw my own vet who gave my girl a through scan , he look everywhere, no pu. no pups but my bitch was fine and that was all I was concerned about. whats to be etc.....
