Why are wedding dresses white?

Son asked his mother the following question:
'Mum, why are wedding dresses white?' The mother looks at her son and replies,
'Son, this shows your friends and relatives that your bride is pure.'
The son thanks his Mom and goes off to double-check this with his father.
'Dad why are wedding dresses white?'
The father looks at his son in surprise and says,

'Son, all household appliances come in white

IT MUST HAVE BEEN A VERY BRAVE MAN WHO WROTE THIS!!!!!!
IT'S EVEN A BRAVER ONE WHO posts it !!!!!!!

Lol I think I'm being brave.

My young lady liked it. She hates me calling her my young lady. She's 18 years older but hey we get on great and have a good laugh and take each day as it comes. The only thing that bugs me is she loves the tv soaps and I keep falling asleep on the sofa :)

My OH is 18 years older than me! You wouldnt know it though,he looks AND acts younger than me (we need the rolleyes icon back!!)
