Hi,
Can anyone tell me what size crate they recommend for a bichon frise?im getting her as a puppy so is it better to buy a smaller one then a bigger one later on?

Websites say to get one which is a small 24" Long x 18" Wide x 21" High recommended for Border Terrier, Chihuahua, Yorkshire Terrier, Bichon Frise, Miniature Poodle, Pug, shih Tzu
and Jack Russell Terrier
but i think a medium would be more suitable as bichons are bigger than the ones mentioned for small size?
medium 30" Long x 21" Wide x 24" High seems to be more like it though as they says these dogs: Staffordshire Terrier, Cairn Terrier, Dachshund, King Charles Spaniel, Lhasa Apso, Miniature Schnauzer, Shetland Sheepdog, West Highland Terrier

I would go for the medium rather than the small one.  I got a Rosewood crate from Pets at home when I first got him forgot what size it was though but I remember it was £55 but that was 3 1/2 years ago.   I then saw a bigger Rosewood crate in a charity shop for £5 and so used that one instead.  It was quite a big one but I liked knowing he had a lot of room to move round and have some toys in there although I very rarely shut him in it - the door was mostly open and he used it for his little hiding place - I covered it with fleece dog blankets from Argos to make it nice and cosy and secure for him.  My Bichon is quite a large Bichon and weighs about 12kg.

www.doggiesolutions.co.uk is the cheapest place I have seen for crates and they appear to be quite good quality.
