I really want to get a dog scooter to use with my Siberian Husky. I don't want to compete, its just something I think both myself and my dog would enjoy plus it will be great excercise for her and build on her natural instincts. Does anybody know where to get one that is reasonably priced? I've checked the internet and they are very expensive! Of course I want it to be safe for my dog and myself but as I don't want it for competing I don't really want or need one thats top of the range.

having studied them carefully last week i think they would be very simple to fabricate ones self with an old bike and some alloy tubing and some basic welding skills.

I have the Pawtrekker dog scooter, still expensive at £225 but less than some others I've seen. It doesn't have mud guards though so you can imagine what state I've been in lately with all this rain. Good fun though!

Are brakes necessary on a dog scooter??

I've seen the Pawtrekker one and think its what we will get. We will get the one suitable for 1 or 2 dogs as we have 1 at the moment but are thinking about getting another. Nevermind about the mudflaps - I guess you can't race a dog and expect to say clean! You can't even walk one and stay clean at the mo in this weather!
