Topic Dog Boards / Health / Green Ums ?????

Just come home from the pet store, and noticed a tub of tablets called green-ums, which promise to SAFELY eliminate lawn burn. They claim to be entirely safe for the dog, made just out of plant extracts.

Has anyone ever heard of and/or used these pills, and do they work?

My youngest dog can't yet cock his leg, so my lawn is very patchy. The idea of a lush green lawn certainly appeals, but not to the detriment of my dogs!

When he starts to cock a leg it will only be the the line post, the hedges and your garden furniture and pots that suffer. Sorry don't know if the tablets are ok or if they will work, have always accepted that dogs and beautiful gardens don't really go together. Jackie H

I think it'd take more than a pack of miracle pills to make our garden beautiful! We have a gorgeous old crab apple tree in the middle of our largest lawn. It is made even more beautiful to me (but nobody else suprisingly!!!) that it has a dirt race track around it custom made by our 18 month old pooch. He has great fun!

I'm not bothered by having a nice garden - I just thought that it'd be quite nice to keep the lawn nice for summer!

Oh I'd just sit back and enjoy the pattern, at least you don't have to mow the bald bits. JH

I thought it was only bitches that made brown patches on the lawn. I think there is something in the urine. I can't see how tablets could stop this (safely). One solution is to water the spot where they have urinated to stop the grass turning brown.
