Hi everyone,

Im just bursting to let someone know that today at Coventry Ladies Premier Open Show, my first home bred showdog who is owned by my friend and has only been showing for 6 months.............hes 3 years old now, has won Best of Breed out of an entry of 112 Golden Retrievers and has qualified for Crufts 2008. Im so chuffed as it has taken lots of hard work to get him showing right and moving on 4 legs instead of 2 and qualifying him for this years Crufts was something i never expected.Thanks for letting me share that, a small achievement but it feels huge for me!!!!

What a lovely win. I'm sure most of the dogs at Crufts won't have had to beat that many to qualify!!

112 Goldens, wow!!  We dont even get that for a golden specialty.  We average about 20 Goldens at a specialty, and way less than that at a regular show.

If it were me, I probably wouldnt be able to post on CD.  I would be in the ICU at the local hospital from a heart attack!!!!!

Blimey, i think im living in the wrong country. My girl is always in classes of 30+ at championship shows and they draw an entry of around 310+. Crufts can have anything up to 500 goldens entered! Think a move would be a good idea for us!!!LOL!!!
