Can anyone tell me a gentle way of removing sticky from plasters etc from skin,thankyou.

Surgical spirit sometimes works.

neat washing up liquid, nail varnish remover, a little oil with salt or sugar in - all work, just depends how sensitive the area :eek:

Jean Genie what a fab reply-you should be on the stage-It was one of those where you could be sat in your car at traffic lights and burst out laughing thinking about what you had said-you have made my day and the best I have heard in yonks.

Also just to add-I worked as a nurse for 25 years and my goodness could I have used that line with some know it all male !!!

Even more reason sullysmum why you need to learn to smile  in the face of adversity. I appreciate your stress but Nothing was said which was an insult to your husband. Jeangenie and the others are not psychic and could not have been expected to know from your original post that your husband was ill.
