Well I have totally run out of people I know personally to tell and am not allowed to tell some friends as they will be far too jealous so here goes - I am going to see Led Zeppelin at the O2 on Monday.  I am sure no-one will be the slightest bit interested but I am very excited!! :) :)

Congrats on getting tickets, I applied but didn't hear anything :) :D

Me too.  This was pure luck - I am on placement at the moment at a college where they have a box, put my name in the hat as wanting tickets and got pulled out.  I found out yesterday and didn't believe it until I picked the tickets up today but they look real enough!! :)

Being as old as I am....they were soooo cool when I was young!

I'm interested - and very envious !. Hope you have a great time.

I'm more of a Robert Plant fan than a Led Zep but all the same - wow !.

Currently loving 'Raising Sands' with him and Alison Krauss. Mainly covers of songs that I wouldn't usually like but they work together beautifully.

I am sure we will have a great time, just wish I had loads of tickets to give to friends - my brother is not speaking to me at the moment!!  I am enjoying the Plant/Krauss album too, I pretty much like anything Page or Plant do but Alison Krauss is new to me and is wonderful.

I will tell you what the lighting is like Teri, I am quite excited even to be going to the 02, it is supposed to be a really good venue.  Now have to decide what to wear!!

Well the review is good - hope you enjoyed the concert - they are talking about a tour now - so maybe more of us will get the chance to see them.

Come on then what was it like - you can't just come on here and say you're going to the Led Zeppelin concert and then give us no feed back !!!
- By Freedom2010 [gb] Date 12.12.07 14:00 UTC
Sorry, still coming down from it.  I can honestly say that it was the best concert I have ever been to and I know part of that was the occasion itself.  Plant was completely wonderful, they all were, and you wouldn't have guessed their ages without the big screens - it was just a good old fashioned rock gig with no unnecessary fancy lighting or effects and just totally amazingly brilliant (I enjoyed it, can you tell :)).  Just wish it was on tomorrow so I could go again!

For all you fans that couldn't go the BBC have a short clip on their website of Led Zep playing Black Dog:

absolutely fantastic show...from beginning to end - Keith Emmerson was superb opening the show, Paul Rodgers came on with Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings and performed "alright now" plus another track, Foreigner perfomed "I want to know what love is" tho Lou Gramm wasn't singing, and what can I say----Led Zeppelin ROCKED!!! I never sat down, danced the whole set....hope they bring out a DVD of the whole show - SUPERB
