a few weeks ago i wrote about my friend that is pregnant and her little dog that goes ballistic with children under the age of 4 when they are high pitched screaming etc, well he is getting so much better, the cd with children making all kinds of noises on it has been left on for days and days and he now is quite happy to be in the same room with it, and not run around growling and barking and hiding etc, she has been taking him to the park and sitting him in the back of the car with the windows and doors etc shut and let him hear the children playing and yelling at first he was hiding in the back of his cage and every now and then a grumble but nothing like he was, now the boot is open on the car and he is at the front of the cage watching kids run around and play footie etc,
he has been comming out more with my lot, who adore children and he watches them getting a cuddle and a biscuit off kids and he today for the first time ventured forward to a little boy of about three we know and he was sitting on the grass after playing footie with my collies and he approached the little boy had a sniff and we praised him and give the boy a biscuit to give to him which he did and monkey shot in and every so gently took it and ran off to eat it,
it is progress and slow but she is over the moon with him and so happy her partner said he went to the pub with him the other day and there where toddlers around and he did not growl grumble just sat there and kept an eye on them,which is a huge improvement.
