Hi,

We are planning to go to Crufts on Friday and Saturday...
So need to find a B&B to stay in.
No dogs coming so the place does not need to be a place that accepts pets.
Anybody know the area and could recommend what areas are close or have recommendations where would be a good place to stay (or start looking).

Thanks!

When I stayed for Crufts (which was with dog) it was meant to be with a family member who let me down very late on, so I ended up staying at the Days Inn on the M40 near Warwick. It was fine there, but someone may know something nearer, esp since you don't need to take dogs.

We stay at the Ibis (with dogs) in South Coventry - just a short drive - almost a straight road from the hotel into the NEC carpark - and far more reasonable than staying in Birmingham itself.  Nothing posh but you can get an acceptable meal and a drink.  http://www.ibishotel.com  We are already booked for next year (Sat and Sun nights)

Thanks for your replies.
I think we will book in coventry and then take a train to NEC...
Probably a lot cheaper and there is quite a few near Coventry station so we do not have to walk far :)...

Hi,
The nearest places for the NEC would be Castle Bromwich, i know theres a lovely holiday inn there. Sheldon, Solihull, Marston Green. Coventry isnt too far and there is a travelodge on the M5 junction 4 if you are coming from that direction.

There are a few travel lodges around at Brimingham are generally a little higher near crufts time but it depends on your budget.  If you can travel 30 mins in the morning the ones further out are all on special still I think.

Coventry road A45 near NEC is also full of hotels and B&Bs.  Type in Hotels near NEC to google :-)

We are staying in a Travelodge at Markfield in Leicester ~ its a little drive into Birmingham, but much better than traveling during the night to make it in time.
£39.00 per night £10 extra for hairy hound.. :0)
