This is for a friend who has a labrador cross, weighs about 30kg. How much naure diet should be fed. I know the manufacturers over estimate so we would be grateful if anyone who feeds it can advise quantities. Also is it ok to add a plain terrier meal to bulk it out a bit. The dog has a good figure but is a bit sensitive and not keen on plain kibble so my mate wants so switch to Nature diet.
Thanks
Tig.
My dog is 22kg & I give her anything from a 1/4 to the whole tub depending what kind of eating mood she is in. I give her a couple of handfuls of mixer biscuits with it, but I think Nature Diet is a complete food & mixer is not needed, but I like to give it to her to help clean her teeth. Apart from w/bix for breakfast, Molly only has one meal a day, but she is not a 'hungry' kind of dog!

Check out the Nature Diet website, they have a chart there that tells you how much roughly needs to be fed for what weight.

I used to feed my older Lab two packets a day. Consider though that she was not an active dog due to her age so a more active dog would need more :)

According to the ND site, mine should be eating upto 2.3 packs aday. The only time she had 1 whole pack was when she had a false pregnancy. She's not under weight, so I guess it's different dog to dog.

My dobe bitches would have 2.5 packs daily and my male 3.5 - 4 packs daily they weigh 32kg 35kg 45kg respectively.
I have three who often get Nature Diet. My Mal bitch (32Kg) gets 2 packs per day, my male Aussie (25Kg) gets 3 packs per day and my male Mal (42Kg) gets 4 packs per day.
HTH :)

My 22kg Vizsla gets 3 packs a day!!! She isn't fat though but the right shape. My 11kg mongrel gets 1daily.
I would start at what they say if your dog is active (less if not) and if any weight loss or gain occurs then alter the amount given.
