I am sorry but I seem to be constantly asking questions on here, but I am always getting good advice!!  I am new to this puppy business and this website is great!

My dog seems to sleep alot from about 7.30 in the evening and I'm wondering if this is why she doesn't want to go to bed at 11 when I put her in her crate?  I try playing with her but she's absolutely knackered and can't be bothered!

Another question is when should I give her her last feed of the day (she's still having 4 meals)

Finally, a friend of mine today was surprised that I am not giving her any 'milky' meals ie weetabix.  I am following the breeders notes and she says to give her 4 small meals a day of her specific puppy food.  Should I be??

Thanks again,

Sarah

You ahve the canine equivalent of a baby and sleep patterns can be very indicidual, pups will just drop and sleep when htey need to sleep.  Just have a regular routine about bedtime.

With my pups I feed their last meal at about 10pm, but bedtime here isn't until after 11pm.

On foru meals they are fed at 8am, Lunchtime 12 -1pm, Teatime at 5pmish adn then at 10pm.

When is cut down to 3 meals the breakfast is the same, Lunch more like 2pm, and then Dinner at 8 pm.

I'm lead to beleive pups do not need milk once they been weened from their mum. I give molly goats milk & w/bix for breakfast, but it's just a treat really, but I didn't start that until she was about 1 1/2 yrs. So much to learn about our pups!

everyone weans thier pup differently. I feed similar times to brainless I use lactol and mix it in with thier food I also give a little cheese or scrambled egg o, fish/tripe for protein up until they are around 16 wks.
I also give them a drink of lactol before bed to fill them up makes them sleepy and they usually conk out for the night!!
