I hope there aren't too many bad opions about this subject, but I wanted to lighten the discussion topics as the subject beneath looks like it might get heated!!

I just wanted to say thanks to those who offered help on my dogs diet, which was too high in protein. Someone (sorry I can't remember who) advised me to read a book called 'give a dog a bone'. Well, I have to say that I have had my dog on a BARF diet for about 6 weeks and the difference is amazing!! It's working for my boy who looks 100% better and seems far less manic and lots happier :-) !

So thanks to the person who advised me - It's really made a difference

Is it an easy diet to follow then? My two year old is quite a fussy eater (loves our food but turns her nose up at her own food) think i'll see if I can get a look at this book in my local library, glad to hear it's worked for you - I've had some good advice from the posters on this board too.

Hi Sally

It was I who advised you to read the book 'Give Your Dog a Bone'. I am so pleased that it helped and that your doggy friend is enjoying his new diet!!

(Dr Billinghurst has a new book out now called 'Grow Your Pups with Bones' - just in case you were in need of some more bedtime reading.)

I am afraid that I am completely hooked on the subject of canine nutrition. The more I read the more intrigued I become.

Bye for now, Liz
