My friend has got a whippet pup who she has currently got on dried food - Beta I think.  Trouble is, he is permanently hungry on dried food, but meat goes right through him (even raw) and she's up all night letting him in and out for the toilet!  Can anyone recommend what to do either from the raw or commercial angle.  I would recommend something like Wainwrights or James Wellbeloved.  What do y'all think?  By the way, he is large for a whippet - not at all skinny!

If he is large and not skinny she is probably feeding him too much.  I don't know much about Beta, but try a food that doesn't contain chicken, some dogs have an intolerance to it.  Lamb based food is usually good for this.

When he has meat is he having that with the dry as well, or on its own?

Id feed the meat on its own personally but then i raw feed so i would say that..

How about trying Autarky? Thats in the 'medium' price range, and a more 'natural' dry food.
