Would add, IMO and what I personally do..:)...take him out after eating, take him out when he starts to 'look round' and do circles, but whatever you do, don't shout at him for doing his 'bits' in front of you. By then it is to late, and shouting or grabbing by the neck and hauling outside (not saying you would do that, just an example) will only make him fearful of doing it in front of you. Which means, when he is outside he will be fearful of performing in front of you there! if he does go in the house, ignore it, take him away with a toy and place him away from you, out in the garden or somewhere, (like you would if cleaning the kitchen/living room floor) and clean the mess with no fuss or attention to it whatsoever. Use a cleaner without bleach/etc in it, soap powder or similar, as amonia in cleaners can smell like wee and what you want to do it take the smell away. Lots of praise for performing outside, dogs love to please and will learn this very quickly. No reaction indoors gains him no response so not something he is being rewarded for. Likewise, make sure everyone in the family uses the same word for the 'performance' outside, and make sure everyone has a turn at his toilet. Some dogs will think they only perform for one person, which may cause a problem.
Don't panic ;)....see if you can get the books recommended, and remember, this forum is a 'live' book full of advice :D
