I have a 4 year old Siberian Husky, who usually has a stomach of cast iron (due to the amount of things she steals and eats while we are not looking), but for the past two days, in the morning with her feed (a complete food, that is soaked) she is eating say three mouthfulls and then throwing up. We have taken her food off her for now to see if her stomach needs settling, but has anyone got any advice? I am new to this site so bear with me!

Sounds like she could have a blockage?  Is she drinking ok or does that make her vomit aswell? If I were you I'd phone the vets especially as she has been like it for two days.

She seems to be drinking okay and she is going to the toilet, all I have been advised to do via a phone consult is give her chicken and rice, its just very unusual for her to be like this, she wont even move off her bed.

I would get her to the vets asap rather than just by telephone as they cannot make a proper diagnosis with out seeing her ;)

Let us know how you get on.

Hi,

One of my girls ate a sock recently and she went off her food but was managing to keep water down.

I would take her to the vet to be checked to be on the safe side and mention to you vet that she eats strange things sometimes.

Hope she gets better soon.

This happened to my mum's spaniel who steals anything edible.  He was constantly being sick when he tried to eat his food.  It turned out he'd scoffed a peach out of the fruit bowl and the peach stone was stuck in his pipes - he had to have an op to get it removed   It could have been very dangerous if he hadn't been seen by the vet so I would get yours checked out soon as.  It's probably not as serious as this but you need to find out.

Wel she has now been sored, all the vet said was dodgy tummy and that she probably ate something in the garden, shes eating normally again and holding down her food, so all is well. thanks for the help
