When going to bed last night I felt a couple of bumps on my oak flooring in the hallway.  Hubby immediately went under the floor and low and behold full of water.

My bathroom was refitted 6 weeks and new seperate corner shower chamber. You guessed it , it is leaking.  I could scream. £3500

I have quite an open plan bungalow that is solid oak throughout ( apart from the bathroom)  The hall floor will need lifted , the bedroom next to the bathroom, the hall/bathroom wall and the bedroom/bathroom wall.  The flooring is a massive job as you can't just pop up a few boards.   Even worrying about all the tiling I guess if they can't match all the batches the whole lot will come out.

If I showed you the photos you would not believe so much damage could be caused in 6 weeks. I could scream, really!!!!!!!!!   wouldn't be so bad but my en-suite was just ripped out at the weekend so that is my 2 showers out of use.  I hate bathing in the morning , I like to have a bath at night by shower in the morning..

Life is never easy. :-)

That is what Insurance is for ;)

We had this happen after we had the flood had new wood flooring through out the downstairs.Had a washing machine delivered and fitted by Curry's and the left a slow drip leak :mad: It was about six week again until we found out that there was a problem. Curry's came out, admited liability and we got compensation for the full replacement of the whole flooring
