Hi all took my girl to the vets, she is alright in herself but a lot of blood when she goes to poo she is 8years old. Vet as kept her in to do same tests, I am so worried about her. Hope i do not lose her.

Oh dear. I hope it's something that's temporary and not too serious.

Hope everything turns out ok for your girl :) Was it just a one off blood in the poo,or did it carry on for a few days? The reason i ask is because a couple of weeks ago one of my dogs intermittently had blood in her poop, usually the last one of the day. This went on for a week,i then collected a specimen jar from the vet so i could give them a sample and typically she hasnt done one since. All her poops have been normal with not a drop of blood in them.

So i will be curious to know what the prognosis is for your girl.Hopefully it's nothing serious.Keeping fingers crossed.

Sorry to hear she's poorly, has she been prone to colitis in the past?  My CKC had a problem with this and it used to look just awful, blood and mucus in the poo, but it was soon cleared up with medication.  Hope all goes well for you.

I do hope your girl will be Ok.
I know just how you are feeling.
My puppy was so poorly after one dose of Metacam.
He was just passing blood.I thought we where going to loose him.
That is one thing he will never have again.
Some dogs are great on it not him.
He was on a drip for two days.
I really do feel for you.

Hi all good news vet kept her in for the day was waiting for her to poo.guess what poo'd when she came home anyway there was alot of blood scared me. My husband told  me that she got into a cardbroad box & chewed the tinstil that was inside. The vet could not find anythink wrough with her that was casusing all the blood. now we know she is 8 years old but acts like a puppy. She is on Baytril antibiotic's & rice with chicken, fish for afew days there is still blood in poo but not so much vet told me that it will take a few days to clear up.
