i realy hope this is just a bad rumour  As i won my first cc at blackpool on saturday someone has said that in one paper it is saying that all placings wont count .............giving example of a football match abandoned score does nt count Hope this is not so as i for one will turn into a nasty FOOTBALL HOOLIGAN!!! Has anyone else heard this?

I have heard nothing, and I wouldn't listen to rumours like that. The judge awarded you the CC so it should not be taken back due to a natural disaster! You may not have been able to go in for BOB due to the evacuation but you won the CC so Many Congratulations! Enjoy it!

I emailed the KC as I made my boy up on Friday and this is the reply I got.

Surely they couldn't stop the ones from before Sunday?

I think the awards will stand as they are, even the ones that were completed on Sunday, as they WERE awarded (as you say, how can they be taken back... it's not our fault the show had to be abandoned!).

I am wondering more about what will happen to the points towards Top Dogs etc.  The points we would normally receive from our BOB win, would put us at Top Dog (before Sunday we were equal Top Dog).  BUT, the problem is, if some get points, and others don't because their judging could not be completed, that is rather unfair, and could really affect the tables at the end of the year!  I know that year before last, the Top Utility spot was decided at LKA, the last show, and there was only 1 point in it!!

Although I would obviously love to keep my points, is it really fair to those that could not be judged, could not compete in their Groups etc?  Although I am in two minds on this, I really think the only truly fair way to deal with it would be to not award ANY points for Blackpool, then the standings would not be affected.  Wins in breed (CC's etc) do not affect anyone other than those in that breed, so yes, they should definitely stand.  It appears that is the feelings of the KC too!  Thankfully!!

Well done to you on making up your baby!!  We don't have CC's, so we don't get to do things like that unless we take them abroad! :0(

Just realised it was you!  I was very pleased to see you finally made up your boy!!  It's about time!!

We were in the bencing tent next to the boxers, luckily we were in the car park when that tent collapsed!!  We did get BOB with our girl before we left though! :0)  As far as I know Lynn, Sean and Trisha etc all got out ok, they were still packing up when we left.  We made sure they were ok first, they said they had plenty of help to get everything out.  Apparently Steve Hall was trying to get them to leave, and leave the dogs on their benches!!  Can you believe that??

I don't know how Lynn and Sean's caravan stood up to it, do you?

That was my first thought when I looked at the results online too!  I dread to think how many RCC's you got to Chancer and TC!! LOLOL!  Still, you were persistent and got there in the end!! WELL DONE!!

we had been caravaning untill Sunday Morning (Ok I was hung over from the disco) the boys were home on Leave so they helped to get us packed up quick we left just prior to 12, oclock so we were just ahead of everything but having lost 1 awning at Bath didnt fancy loosing another at Blackpool.
Shaun rang me to let me know he was ok and then the phone didnt seem to stop pleople checking we had got off and did Colin need help
the help offered was unprecidented

I heard that, I also called Jean, she said that they had seen the weather reports the night before, so got up early and had left by 9 am.  Sensible people!!

We were waiting for the Groups, as Steve Hall had said the Groups were still going ahead... that was about 10 minutes before the catering tent blew down (which I think was the first one to go?). 

Anyway, at least you all got out ok, I wouldn't want to lose another awning either!  I had forgotten you lost that one at Bath!  I think it must be the 'B' shows that are cursed!!  Any problems at Border Union?? LOLOL!

You can't miss the party's Karin!! :)  I wish I had a caravan to use right now!  Never mind, at least I get to do more shows now I am back home.  Hubby wouldn't let me do too many whilst I was in the USA.....but then, I suppose, one weekend was 4 shows in a row! LOLOLOL!

We have it sorted for East of England... saying with puppy owners the night before and the night after!  Lovely soft double bed, plenty to drink, and will have fantastic food too!  Just right to set us up for our trip to Belgium on the Friday!! :0)
