As regards the "which dog bites hardest " research....does it really matter? Anything thats hard enough to puncture the skin is bad, pounds per square inch pressure makes no odds. I would have thought the amount of damage would also depend not only on the strength, but on the duration of the grasp, and the nature of it e.g. shaking the prey, and where on the body it is. Even a little dog bite can kill you if you get septicaemia.
