I am hoping to purchase a sheltie puppy soon which I would like to be able to show as well as do some obedience or agility perhaps.  Does anyone know of any dogs shows in the south east that I could attend?  I would like to go and watch - especially ones with Shelties - to get some idea of what is entailed and to watch some shelties up close.

Hi. Dont know wherabouts you are, but there are classes for Shelties this Sunday at Lockmeadow Market, Maidstone.Kent.
There are only 3 mixed classes but usually get a good entry and you would be able to chat to the Sheltie folk.
