Its a bit of a long shot but someone has kindly donated a very nice oil painting of a famous labrador to sell in aid of our rescue
apparantly this painting of oil on silk was sold at manchester champ show in 1967  obviously we would love to know the best way to value it has anyone got any suggestions or has anyone else bought such a painting  who may know who the artist is?

How about contacting the KC?  They might be able to help.

I'd contact a reputable auction house that runs fine art sales (as opposed to just general sales) and ask to have it valued by them. A lot of antique dealers will value art but I would want to make sure it was an expert's specialist subject to get the most out of the donation. Hopefully it will be worth a lot! That'd be nice. :)

speak to paul Keevil as hes very helpful and very knowlegable....canine art in the right place can make a lot more money if breeders are aware of it, than just a run of the mill sale.
